Well, this 11th Yuki Yaki-release by '82nd ave, named "Crowd Of Zero", is nothing like nova musica, but its easiness and temperament, shown in songs like "Commuter Belt Booty Bass" or "Clear The Floor", feel really fresh and activate affectively a swinging nod, that sometimes even could extend to an uncontrollable jerking of the leg. And this is exactly what this kind of music is made for. Let us rock! David Williams himself supposes about the music of his debut...

Abrasive Soul is an album consists of two long themes of abstract music, full of harsh sounds, broken structures and subliminal drones, treated in a manner decidedly narcotic and strangely hypnotic. Contact: www.myspace.com/juanantonionieto

In an abandoned seaside town the women of the bordello wander out. Their punch-stained lips whistle whiskeyed melodies. Their limp boas leave a trail of old perfume. A cowboy, hidden in the shadow of his ten-gallon, sips sassafras soda, for which he has traveled a great mile. You make your way from the old hotel set back on the dunes, stopping first for a continental breakfast in the chandeliered ballroom. Hop on a sepia carousel. Bathe in the icy shore. Or just stroll along the crumbling...

A Monotonik debut from UK electronic music artist Risch, who brings an almost Ninja Tune-esque cut-up electronics aesthetic to us with his debut EP, 'Synesthesia' - a delightfully flippant mix of voice samples, funky beats, and beauteous melodies. The whole caboodle starts out with 'Doppelverstraker', which grooves along to a relaxed beat while also popping in samples about the pressures of modern life, before 'Observing Fractals In Clouds' tries the spikier, glitchier beats with great results....

This is the perfect EP as we continue to make the transition from spring to summer. Deep melodic textures takes you through a wonderful spiritual journey, stimulating thoughts of nature and the beauty of everything that the great architech has put before us. The pads are deeply layered and the beats lay perfectly, hinting towards a Detroit-tribal vibe and sometimes leaning more closer to the neighboring deeper dubby-tech sound. Waveform is a very special artist; always bringing gems deriving...

My earliest memory of a monkey is the scene in "Kingukongu tai Gojira" where King Kong opens a giant snake's mouth so far beyond it's natural extention point that it eventually looks like a mushroom with a long, wiggly, scaled stem. Sure, King Kong is an ape but to a 4 year old, it was a very big monkey with an attitude problem. It was also pretty bad-ass. So, in return for playfully horrific imagery, I managed to write an album dedicated to all things apish and monkeyed. Don't accept...

Collection of "live" recorded Amiga MODs. Comes with crazy beats and melodies.

We're delighted to welcome back Finnish artist Aleksi Eeben, with the latest in his beguilingly offbeat electronic 'numbers' series for Monotonik, 'The Four Tales' - all soaring leads and strange tonal interplay. Now, it's possible that Eeben - who has been composing electronic music for nearly the past 20 years, initially as Amiga demo-scene legend 'Heatbeat', is a distinctly acquired taste, thanks to his borderline avant jazz influences. But if first track 'Minor Tale' - all sweetly sliding...
